What, if anything, made you laugh in the past 24 hours. If nothing made you laugh, write about something that made you smile. If nothing made you laugh or smile—write about why.
(Sorry for the delay on this prompt—life happened.)
I've had bad writer's block, so I'm thinking of starting the #WritingPrompts again. For those of you new to my paywall content, in the past I've done writing prompts to get the creative juices flowing and posted them for my subscribers. If anyone wants to join in, contribute to whatever prompts you want, if you are able and only if you feel comfortable sharing.
There is only one rule for anyone partaking or observing:
1. NO UNSOLICITED FEEDBACK -- a lot of the stuff that comes out in writer's prompts is very personal. If I'm asking a question -- it doesn't mean I'm actually looking for an answer. It just means that question came out in the writing prompt and it's something I need to consider. The prompts also aren't cries for help or digging for compliments, so please don't feel the need to pump me up or call the suicide hotline. It's truly just timed stream of conscious writing.
This goes for other people partaking in the exercise. If someone shares something in a prompt and they don't ask for advice--don't give them advice! I understand and appreciate the desire to help but in order for people to feel like they can be honest in their writing prompts, they have to feel safe to say whatever the fuck comes up.
If the prompt made you reflect on something in yourself or your life -- GREAT! -- I want to hear all about it. If you want to partake and post your writing prompt in the comments-- that's awesome! Make sure you save them in a word doc first so you don't lose it.
All of this stuff will be for subscribers only as in my past experience with prompts, shit gets real!

This week on #FactorySettings @justjeren and I talk about the elephant in the room. MONEY! We talk about when we first became aware of it, how it affected our parents' divorces, how much we spent on our addiction, being dependent, financial insecurity and so much more!

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.
We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Bridget breaks down the meteoric rise and tragic fall of Oscar bait, and generally terrible film, Emilia Pérez.
Good morning
I am healing from the reconstruction surgery that happened a week ago but started two years ago
I don’t want to be weak and tired today
But I am
I am tired of persevering.
Nevertheless that is what I must do
If I have to be tired and foggy headed I should let go of the resentment and find out what wonders this day can hold

The writing prompts are back! And since everyone is talking about "what is a woman?" I thought we should dig into our Factory Settings and find out what we learned about this stuff.
